About Home Pointe

Savannah Christian Church's new family ministry-"Home Pointe" is designed to encourage Savannah Christians to become more intentional about building God-honoring families. We value a true partnership with the home where the church encourages and equips husbands and wives to be better spouses; moms and dads to be better parents; and single parents to succeed. Scripture tells us that the home is the primary place for spiritual formation. Home is where parents should live out their faith and engage in the spiritual and moral training of their children.

Home Pointe is a collaborative effort involving many of the existing ministries of the church to make this all happen. Our intent is to break down the "silos" existing in our church ministry so that all of the ministries having an influence on the health of the family are working as a team. Home Pointe gives pastors and ministry leaders a platform and context for helping people become intentional about building strong families.

Ultimately, the goal of Home Pointe is to increase the likelihood those attending Savannah Christian Church will:

• create life-long, thriving marriages;
• introduce their children to faith in Christ; and,
• launch their teens as committed adult believers.

We are also sensitive to the fact that families in our church come in many shapes and sizes. So, Home Pointe is not just for traditional families, it is designed for blended families, step families, single-parent families... families of every kind.
